Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa

Surrounded by the landscapes of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa offers a more relaxed resort-style experience after your first night of safari. The property combines wildlife, gardens, a swimming pool and comfortable spaces to unwind.

Arrival in Tsavo

Arrive in Tsavo at approximately noon, where you will be met by your hotel driver and transferred to Salt Lick Safari Lodge.

1:00 PM

Check-in + lunch

Proceed to the lodge and settle in. Have lunch first, then complete your check-in and get shown to your room.

2:00–4:00 PM

Rest + lodge time

Take some time to freshen up and rest before your afternoon safari. You can also enjoy the unique architecture and wildlife views around the lodge.

4:00–4:30 PM

Sunset game drive

Get ready for your first game drive of the trip.

Confirm the exact departure time with the driver who picks you up from the hotel.

Safari tip

Keep your camera ready and allow the landscape to set the pace.

Return + dinner

Return to Salt Lick around 7:00 PM, freshen up and enjoy dinner before an early night.

Rise early for your second game drive.

Confirm with reception the evening before what time you should be ready and where to meet the driver.

Return to the lodge after your safari and enjoy breakfast.

Walk around the property, take in the views and look out for wildlife around the lodge.
